Your Holiday Body Care Guide

The summer holidays are well and truly here, and whether you’re flying away to a beautiful sandy paradise or staying close to home, we’ve created your 3-step holiday body care guide below, to help you look and feel your very best.

STEP 1: SCRUB FROM HEAD TO TOE

Never underestimate the power of a good exfoliator and adding it into your weekly routine. You only need to exfoliate a maximum of twice a week, but it really helps to remove dry dead skin cells quickly and leaves skin feeling smooth and nourished instantly.

Using the right body scrub for your skin type will also help to increase overall results.

We have two natural body scrubs which are designed for targeted skin needs and help to reveal softer skin. Our Deeply Nourishing Shea & Macadamia Body Scrub is creamy and created for very dry skin, while our Moisturising Coconut & Monoi Sugar Scrub creates more of a foaming texture, which is perfect for normal/dry skin.

When you’re in the shower or bath, just apply to damp skin in a gentle circular motion and rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water.

STEP 2: LATHER UP IN MOISTURISER

As our biggest organ, the skin needs a lot of TLC! It may seem like a lot of effort but moisturising your body will help to keep it nourished and energise dry, thirsty skin back to its natural self.

It’s best to moisturise skin after you’ve exfoliated, as it will help to hydrate the new layer of skin which has just been raised to the surface level. Using an all-natural body lotion will also help to support your skin with the very best of nature, working alongside it, instead of against it.

Both our Coconut & Monoi Body Lotion and Shea & Macadamia Body Lotion help to reveal softer, smoother skin in no time at all.

After showering or bathing, massage the body lotion onto dry skin until absorbed. Concentrate on areas which are particularly prone to dryness, such as the knees, ankles and elbows.

*TOP TIP* – if you’re going to add a summer glow to your body with some fake tan, there’s an additional step to consider:

  • If you’re going to use a moisturiser with added fake tan, alternate use each day with your everyday non-tinted moisturiser. This will help to build up your tan without going orange!
  • If you prefer to use an instant fake tan after you’ve exfoliated and moisturised, wait at least an hour before applying. This will ensure your moisturiser has been fully absorbed by the skin, and won’t mix in with your tan, which can result in streaks and the skin not glowing as much the next day.

STEP 3: PAY SPECIAL ATTENTION TO HANDS & FEET

The type of skin on your hands and feet are different, but both are strong and need additional support to help keep them healthy and replenished. Both our natural hand creams and natural foot creams can help to target those tough areas, to help give them a boost of nourishment.

For your hand cream, squeeze onto palms and massage into dry hands and nails as often as required. For the foot creams, squeeze the product into your hands and massage liberally until absorbed into clean, dry feet, paying close attention to heels and calluses.
