After months of being hidden and wrapped up, your feet will soon be exposed to beaming sunshine, stone river banks, strappy sandals, hot sandy beaches as spring and summer slowly starts to appear.
Getting your feet ready for those beautiful sunny days after months of being in fluffy socks and warm winter boots will be exactly what they need after their hibernation, and we’ve got some tips to help get your winter feet ready for summer.
Scrub up & away
Even though the skin on your feet is tough, it still needs some TLC. A good place to start is finding a good foot scrub to create a clean, fresh base for some feet pampering. Our Sea Minerals & Mint Foot Scrub is blended with natural pumice, to revive even the most overworked feet. Just wet feet and then massage the scrub using circular movements in the heel, sole, toes and rinse off with warm water.
Smooth & shine
Once your feet have been hydrated and scrubbed, get to the nitty gritty and target those tough areas, such as the skin on your heels and pads of your feet. Cracked skin in these areas appears from dry and damaged skin, which is difficult to remove without regular treatment. Using a foot file is an essential foot tool to help get gorgeous feet and eradicate the dead skin. All you need to do apply slight pressure to your heels with the foot file and move up and down to eradicate the dead skin layer by layer until smoother, softer skin is revealed.
Nourish & moisturise
Now your feet have been scrubbed and buffed, give them some nourishment and moisture with a light foot cream. Our Coconut & Shea Foot Cream is filled with natural ingredients such as coconut oil and cocoa butters, which can moisture even the driest of feet. Our Sea Minerals & Mint Foot Cream can help to revitalise feet with a nourishing cocktail of Sea Minerals, Grapeseed and Sweet Almond Butter. Just squeeze the foot cream into your hands and massage liberally until absorbed into clean, dry feet paying particular attention to heels and calluses.
Pedi & perfect
Finally, finish off your summer feet pampering with an at-home pedicure. Polish tends to last longer on smoother nails, so give them a quick buff with your nail file and shape them to be squared off or rounded. Then, use some nail polish remover to get rid of any access oils and then apply your chosen base coat. Depending on the colour, apply another two coats and let them dry. Once you’re done, you’ll be ready to wear your favourite strappy heels – when the weather warms up!
